Yoga has become one of the most popular forms of exercise in recent years. When we look around, we see men and women and children of all ages engaging in this form of moving meditation. In fact, statistics indicate that more than 20 million Americans practice one type of yoga or another. Because yoga is a recent addition to our Sterling ARIA MediSpa facility, we understand the various feelings that these classes may evoke. Many of our patrons have been thrilled about this expansion, while there are many others for whom yoga feels downright intimidating. Here, we want to offer a few reasons why you shouldnโt let fear stop you from taking part in one of our conveniently scheduled yoga classes.
Our new 2000 sq. ft. yoga salt room is designed with a special eco-friendly soft floor, along with controlled environments: humidity, COโ, ozone, anti-bacterial, and anti-mold treated air. The yoga center has marvelous sound effects accompanied with harmonic lighting. Our green-minded space also includes spacious changing rooms with multi showers, personal lockers, and special private changing place. Weโll be serving cold-pressed juices and a selection of delicious treats available from our juice bar menu. We provide soaps, towels for rent and hair dryers to make it easy to start your morning (or any time of the day) with us. A variety of students come to practice at our kids friendly studio including college students, mothers, fathers, executives, law enforcement personnel, educators, and athletes.
Our yoga studio is a part of Aria Wellness Center that offers many therapies and treatments to help you restore yourself and find health. Our services are intended to restore balance and communication between mind, body, and spirit. We are located at Regal Center in Sterling where youโll find many options just outside our door to stroll, shop or grab some tea or meet friends for a post-yoga bite of healthy food.
It’s Called a Practice
With so many people familiar with downward-facing dog and cobra poses, it may feel as though youโve missed the boat. Very few people are completely comfortable coming into a practice that seems easy for others. The thing is, no one is born a yogi. Every person who has become stronger and more flexible has done so through practice. The same transformation is possible for you if you so desire. Itโs Your Practice Every person who has improved their yoga practice had to start at the beginning. Every. Single. One. There is no โgetting thereโ in yoga. That mindset contradicts the idea that yoga is a personal journey for every individual. When you begin your new yoga practice, be kind to yourself. Know that the best process is one that is taken carefully. One of the beautiful things about yoga is that this activity helps you get to know your body and mind in a better way. To rush your ability to perform poses the way you think you should be to miss out on the benefits that yoga has to offer. Furthermore, rushing any pose, just like any exercise, could ultimately lead to injury.
In this day and age of busy-ness and instant gratification, there is enormous value in learning to slow down. Yoga can help you do this while also improving strength, flexibility, and body-structure. Learn more about our classes and how to get the most out of them at 703-444-2800
